Paul Bean.Net Welcome to my latest project. I have been entertaining the idea of developing a personal world wide web presence for some time now. I began looking into web hosting companies and the cost involved in acquiring a registered domain name. It was surprising to find out how reasonable the actual cost could be. Basic prices start at around $5 to $10 a month. If your willing to sign up for a full year up front. Some providers will register your domain name for free and wave the one-time setup charge. This one-year deal could save you $50 to $75 on the initial startup.

Web Market West was selected to host my world wide web début. Macromedia's Dream Weaver MX was my choice for a web design tool. I also chose Macromedia's Fireworks MX to manipulate and optimize the graphics and images that will be used on the web site. I chose a 3rd party “How to” book (The Complete IDIOT’S Guide to Dream Weaver MX) for the basic fundamentals. I have found that the internal help systems provided with some software applications are poorly written and can lead to more confusion than clarity.

Now all that is left to do is to put on my Creative Hat and come up with some creative, inovative ways to capture and present myself as content on the web.
