In
the Past... Back in the “80’s” I spent countless hours working on and developing Bulletin Board Systems. These character based BBS’s utilized ANSI and RIP graphics as well as Hypertext, the forefathers to what is known today as HTML. HTML is the universal language of the World Wide Web.This experience provided me with the fundamentals and helped prepare me for the task of editing and customizing HTML Code in today's web rich enviroment. Yesterday’s bulletin board systems were the predecessors to today's World Wide Web Sites, many were pretty sophisticated for their time. Back then BBS's, Echo Mail and Forum Groups were the electronic media for those in the know to communicate on-line. Some BBS's evan had (although somewhat criptic) actual Internet feeds. Business's small and large used this media to communicate, provide information and sell their wares around the world. This of course was also before the World Wide Web was created and made available to anyone with a computer, modem and checkbook. The Present More to follow later... illustration by Sean Crawford - Northridge, California
